We are pleased to announce that Aetna has reached an agreement with Providence Health & Services – Oregon to rejoin the network. This agreement restores in-network access to Providence facilities and providers across Oregon effective 12/1/2025.
Background
Providence Health & Services – Oregon became non-participating in Oregon on January 1, 2025. Aetna and Providence have now reached an agreement to bring these facilities and providers back into the network.
Providence operates eight hospital locations statewide:
- Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital
- Providence Medford Medical Center
- Providence Milwaukie Hospital
- Providence Newberg Medical Center
- Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center
- Providence Portland Medical Center
- Providence St. Vincent Medical Center
- Providence Seaside Hospital
In addition to hospital access, 1,702 physicians (including 627 primary care providers and 1,075 specialists) will rejoin the network.
What Members Need to Know
Providence Health & Services – Oregon will now appear in Aetna’s online provider search tool. Current printed directories do not include Providence but will be updated in the next printed edition. Verify your provider’s network status through Aetna’s provider search tool located here
